MEET OUR HOMETOWN HERO
Drew Teifke served in the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner with the 1st Battalion 6th Regiment, deploying to Syria in 2017 under the Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign. Afterward, Drew participated in a NATO exercise in Latvia in 2018 and served as a Jungle Warfare Instructor—where he earned an award for rewriting a portion of the Navy’s jungle warfare course—in Okinawa, Japan, before his honorable discharge in 2020.
Drew lives in Haskins, Ohio, with his girlfriend Stephanie and three-year-old daughter Kinley. His home experiences significant temperature differences in the winter, with the upstairs 20 degrees warmer than the downstairs. In Ohio’s winter months, the family consistently uses its central heating system, additional space heaters, and heated blankets to maintain a comfortable temperature on the downstairs level in their living room, playroom, dining room, and kitchen.

READY TO NOMINATE A HOMETOWN HERO?
Active-duty military, reserve military, veterans of the US Armed Forces, and first responders are eligible nominees for the program, provided they reside within the service areas of USA Insulation in our participating locations.
Nominees must explain how whole-home insulation would make a difference in their homes. Hometown Heroes is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for those who serve our communities, and we are excited to bring this program to more cities across the country.
