Dan Taylor

MEET OUR HOMETOWN HERO

Dan Taylor enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard in 2000 before converting to active duty after the September 11th attacks. He spent the next two years protecting the 180th Fighter Wing as a security forces member, including during a six-month deployment to Kuwait in the summer of 2002. He earned an active guard position at his unit in 2008 and has remained on active duty since. He will retire after over 26 years of service in 2026.

Dan is a single father of six. His eldest three children are in college, while he has a freshman daughter and twin five-year-olds at home. Dan's home is an older house in Toledo without proper insulation. Dan has worked hard to make this house a home for his family and is excited to have a professionally–insulated, secure home with lower utility bills as he raises his children.

READY TO NOMINATE A HOMETOWN HERO?

Active-duty military, reserve military, veterans of the US Armed Forces, and first responders are eligible nominees for the program, provided they reside within the service areas of USA Insulation in our participating locations.

Nominees must explain how whole-home insulation would make a difference in their homes. Hometown Heroes is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for those who serve our communities, and we are excited to bring this program to more cities across the country.
